This Privacy Policy describes how Ouster, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, "Ouster", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and discloses information that we obtain from you in relation to our Safer Intersections contest. The Contest runs from April 22, 2026 through July 3, 2026. By providing us with your information and taking part in the Contest, you agree that your information will be handled as described in this Contest Privacy Policy. 1. WHO WE ARE
Ouster, Inc. is a corporation established in Delaware with a registered office at 350 Treat Avenue San Francisco, CA 94110, United States.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect your email address directly from you in connection with the Contest for unique voting purposes.
We also automatically collect internet, electronic activity, and other information sent to us by your computer, mobile phone or other access device for fraud detection purposes. This information includes your IP address, device information, including, but not limited to, identifier, name, and type of operating system, mobile network information and standard web information, such as your browser type and the pages you access on our Services.
We do not collect any other information from you in connection with the Contest.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION (OUR PURPOSES)
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To administer the Contest, including contacting the nominator if incomplete or incorrect information about the nomination has been provided to identify the Winning Municipality, or verifying eligibility;
- To prevent fraud and ensure the integrity of the Sweepstakes; and
- To comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including our record keeping obligations.
Your personal information will be used solely for the purposes outlined above. We will not sell or rent your information to third parties for their own marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may share your information with service providers who assist in administering the Contest or to comply with state regulations regarding Contest, but only to the extent necessary for those purposes.
4. WHO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH
We do not use or share your personal information to others except as described in this Contest Privacy Policy. We may disclose your information as follows:
Service Providers. We disclose the information we collect from you to service providers, contractors or agents who perform functions on our behalf.
Affiliates. We may disclose the information we collect from you to our affiliates or subsidiaries.
We also disclose information in the following circumstances:
Business Transfers. If (i) we or our affiliates are or may be acquired by, merged with, or invested in by another company, or (ii) if any of our assets are or may be transferred to another company, whether as part of a bankruptcy or insolvency proceeding or otherwise, we may transfer the information we have collected from you to the other company. As part of the business transfer process, we may share certain of your information with lenders, auditors, and third-party advisors, including attorneys and consultants.
In Response to Legal Process. We disclose information to comply with the law, a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena.

We disclose information when we believe it is appropriate to do so to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, violations of the Contest rules or this Contest Privacy Policy, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
5. HOW LONG DO WE STORE INFORMATION?
We may retain your information for a period of time consistent with the original purpose of collection or as long as required to fulfil our legal obligations. We determine the appropriate retention period for personal information on the basis of the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information being processed, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of the information, whether we can achieve the purposes of the processing through other means, and on the basis of applicable legal requirements (such as applicable statutes of limitation).
6. NO GUARANTEE OF SECURITY IN TRANSMISSION
Once we receive your information, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your information against loss, theft, unauthorised use, access or modification. However, although we use commercially reasonable efforts consistent with industry standards to keep your information secure, we cannot guarantee complete security of your information transmitted through our Services or over email.
7. LOCATION OF OPERATION; INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Your information will be transferred to and stored at/processed in the United States, the European Union, and those other jurisdictions in which Ouster operates. Therefore, your information may be processed outside your country or jurisdiction, including in places that are not subject to an adequacy decision by the European Commission or your local legislature or regulator, and that may not provide for the same level of data protection.
8. CHILDREN
The Contest is not intended for persons under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from any person under 13 years of age. If you believe that your child under the age of 13 has submitted personal information to us in connection with our Contest, please contact us at privacy@ouster.io so that we may take steps to delete such information as quickly as possible, as may be required under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and other relevant laws.
9. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
You have the right to request that we disclose: what categories and specific pieces of personal information have been collected about you; the categories of sources from which personal information are collected; our business or commercial purpose for collecting, using, or disclosing personal information; the categories of third parties with whom we share personal information; the categories of personal information we have disclosed about you for a business purpose. We do not sell personal information.
You have a right to receive a copy of the specific personal information we have collected about you.
You have a right to deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions under applicable law.
You have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of your privacy rights. We will not discriminate against you based on your exercise of any of your privacy rights.

Depending on the type of data subject request you submit, we may ask you to provide information that will enable us to verify your identity before complying with the request. We verify requests carefully and in accordance with applicable law. In particular, if you authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf, we may require the agent to provide proof of signed permission from you to submit the request, or we may require you to verify your own identity to us or confirm with us that you provided the agent with permission to submit the request. In some instances, we may decline to honor your request if an exception applies under applicable law. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law.
You have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal information.
10. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
No purchase or payment of any kind is required to enter or win this Contest.
